When we started unstarved, it was with three basic purposes:

  1. A creative outlet for two recent college grads who had just entered the work force.
  2. A fun way to chronicle my weight loss efforts as up to that point I’d been dropping weight like gang-busters.
  3. The sinfully lavish fame and life of excess which is rampant among video bloggers. I heard Ze lives indoors. Hedonist.

After several months, #1 was a rousing success.

Oddly, starting our video blog correlated almost directly with a flatline in my weight loss progress. It seemed almost as if there’s a limited amount of willpower and now with effort going towards turning out weekly video blogs, there was less attention to be paid to the actual losing of weight.

This made the weight loss portion of the show, which I had originally planned on being the foundation, less exciting.

One possibility considered was for me to start on the diet followed by Olympian Michael Phelps to boost weight loss results, which involves “three fried egg sandwiches with cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, fried onions and mayonnaise, followed by three chocolate-chip pancakes; a five-egg omelet; three sugar-coated slices of French toast and a bowl of grits (a maize-based porridge), washed down with two cups of coffee.”

…for BREAKFAST. However, my suspicions are this diet might not be universal in its results, though the person who writes “The Olympian Diet” book is going to be stupid rich.

In addition to my stubbornly consistent weight, my sister and I both been working on other projects including stand up and improv comedy, and we’d both like to focus more time in these areas.

So unstarved is going on hiatus for the time being. Thanks for all the support and please check back here as we’ll let you know of other projects we’re working on.

Keep it raw like pepsi, love you.

Manuel is back in the news, and well on his way to setting a weight loss world record.  Also, a brief update on my attempts at biking to work.
